Edelmetalle als Schlüssel für die Zukunftstechnologien und grüne Innovationen

Wang Jianqiang, Chairman of Sino-Platinum Metals Co., Ltd., emphasized the crucial role of precious metals in advancing green technologies and achieving carbon targets during the Tengchong Scientists Forum 2025. In an interview with CGTN, he discussed how rapidly evolving sectors such as artificial intelligence, next-generation semiconductors, hydrogen energy, and fusion are driving an increasing demand for advanced precious metal materials.

He noted that AI-driven research is shortening development cycles and reducing costs, enabling faster advancements in catalytic technologies, packaging materials for chips, and key components for future energy systems.

Wang also highlighted the significant contribution of precious metals to green and low-carbon development, ranging from exhaust purification in the automotive industry to hydrogen production and fuel cells. He emphasized that recycling precious metals dramatically cuts carbon emissions compared to mining, representing a vital pathway towards achieving dual carbon goals.

The Tengchong Scientists Forum is scheduled to take place from December 5 to 7 in the southwestern Chinese province of Yunnan, under the theme 'Science and AI Transforming the World'. The three-day event aims to promote international collaboration and exchange in scientific innovation.
